National Living Wage

From April 1, 2016, all workers aged twenty-five and over will be entitled to a new minimum pay rate of £7.20 per hour. This will be known as 'The National Living Wage', and consists of a rise of fifty pence per hour from the level that was set for the same age group for the financial year 2015-16. From that date all employers are legally obliged to make certain that all employees aged twenty-five and over are in receipt of a minimum of £7.20 per hour.
